Romania reports multiple road accidents and a bear attack

Multiple road accidents and a wildlife-related incident have been reported across various regions in Romania.

In Mureș County, a 74-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a bear on the DN13A road near Sângeorgiu de Pădure. The animal had been struck by the vehicle the man was traveling in. The man was saved by another passenger who used a car jack to drive the animal away. The bear subsequently died.

Several other traffic accidents occurred involving various casualties:

In Argeș County, a collision involving two cars in Schitu Golești left two males, aged 16 and 20, injured, with one being unconscious. In Pitești, a 57-year-old driver under the influence of alcohol collided with a pole and a parked motorcycle.

In Sibiu County, an accident in Cisnădie involving five people, including three minors, resulted in injuries to two young girls. In Olt County, a collision in Perieți involving three vehicles left a woman and a child hospitalized.

Additionally, a single-vehicle accident was reported in Alba Iulia, where one person required medical attention.
