Traffic accidents reported on A1 motorway in Romania and in Bács-Kiskun, Hungary

A 73-year-old driver caused a multi-vehicle accident on the A1 motorway between Arad and Temesvár after driving against the flow of traffic. The incident, which occurred on September 5, involved a collision with a vehicle traveling in the correct direction, subsequently causing two other vehicles to crash while attempting to avoid the wreckage. No injuries were reported. The driver fled the scene but was later identified and stopped by police; a sobriety test returned a negative result. The individual was fined 4,300 lei and received a 150-day driver's license suspension.

In Hungary, a head-on collision between two passenger cars occurred on road 5203 between Apajt and Kunszentmiklós in Bács-Kiskun county. Local firefighters from Kunszentmiklós responded to the scene to disable the vehicles, and the accident resulted in traffic obstructions on the affected stretch of road.
