Traffic accidents result in fatality and serious injuries

Two separate traffic accidents have resulted in severe injuries and a fatality in different regions.

In El Tigre, a 27-year-old driver, Antonio Cedeño, was seriously injured after his Mitsubishi L300 van struck a light pole on Avenida Jesús Subero. Emergency responders from Civil Protection and the Anzoátegui Fire Department used hydraulic tools to extricate him from the wreckage. Cedeño suffered an open fracture to his right leg and a possible fracture to his left arm. Witnesses suggested the vehicle lost control after skidding on accumulated water. He was stabilized and transported to a private medical center.

In Yucatán, Mexico, a 19-year-old delivery worker, David C. R., died following a collision on the Ticul-Muna highway. The accident occurred when the motorcyclist attempted a U-turn, leading to a collision with a pickup truck. The impact dragged the motorcyclist for approximately 50 meters. Despite being rushed to the General Hospital Dr. Agustín O’Horán in Mérida, the young man succumbed to his injuries.
