Traffic changes and road closures announced in Jaén and Cuenca

Significant traffic adjustments are being implemented in both Jaén, Spain, and Cuenca, Ecuador, due to urban infrastructure preparations and local festivities.

In Jaén, the City Council is modifying the circulation patterns of four streets surrounding the Paseo de la Estación to prepare for the upcoming tram service. Starting Thursday, October 29, the streets Rastro, Antón de Cuéllar, and Batalla de Bailén will have their directions reversed. Additionally, Cid Campeador will transition to two-way traffic. Local police will be present to assist drivers as new signage is installed.

In Cuenca, Ecuador, the Municipal Mobility Company (EMOV EP) has announced an eight-and-a-half-hour road closure in the Historic Center on October 29. The restriction, scheduled from 07:00 to 15:30, is to accommodate the ‘Cuenca entre Monumentos y Memorias’ student parade celebrating the city's independence. The parade route begins at San Blas Park, continues along Simón Bolívar Street, and concludes at the Calderón Park hemicycle.
