Traffic changes announced in Divinópolis and Penedo

Municipal authorities in Brazil are implementing traffic changes in Divinópolis and Penedo to improve safety and organization.

In Divinópolis, the Municipal Secretariat of Transit, Public Safety, and Urban Mobility (Settrans) is activating a new traffic light system at the intersection of Avenida Brigadeiro Cabral and Rua Bom Sucesso. This change includes converting a section of Rua Bom Sucesso into a one-way street between Avenida Brigadeiro Cabral and Rua Carlos Pereira Chula to manage vehicle flow and reduce intersection conflicts.

In Penedo, the Municipal Superintendency of Transport and Transit (SMTT) has announced road closures for the Independence Day civic parade on September 7. Major thoroughfares, including Avenida Getúlio Vargas and Avenida Floriano Peixoto, will face total blockages in specific sections to accommodate the parade and ensure pedestrian safety. Authorities are advising residents to use alternative routes and anticipate delays.
