Traffic congestion in Asunción following road closures

Significant traffic disruptions occurred in Asunción on Tuesday due to the early closure of the Costanera Norte. Authorities closed the road at 07:00, thirty minutes ahead of the officially scheduled 07:30 start time.

The unexpected closure led to severe congestion on Artigas and España avenues, impacting thousands of commuters. Critics noted a lack of advance signage, failure to update navigation applications, and poor coordination regarding the traffic diversion plan.
