Traffic departments in Paraná and São Paulo announce public recruitment

Public service recruitment processes are underway for traffic departments in the Brazilian states of Paraná and São Paulo.

In Paraná, Detran-PR has announced a public competition for 100 positions. The vacancies include 25 for Curitiba and its metropolitan area, 69 for the state's interior, and six administrative roles at the headquarters. The upcoming notice, to be developed with Fundaseg, will cover roles such as traffic agents, administrators, accountants, engineers, doctors, and psychologists. This marks the first such competition for the agency in over 20 years.

In São Paulo, Detran SP is conducting a selection process for 145 state traffic agent positions. The examinations, scheduled for November 1, 2026, will consist of objective questions and an essay. The assessment, organized by Instituto Avalia, places heavy emphasis on traffic legislation, which accounts for 60% of the total score, including the Brazilian Traffic Code and Contran resolutions.
