Traffic disruptions in Bottrop, Herten due to electricity upgrades

Starting July 10, the city of Bottrop will close the Wiedau street completely and partially block Brabecker Weg while installing a new electricity connection. Detours will be signed and pedestrian traffic will be redirected to the opposite side of the street. The works are scheduled to finish by the end of July.

In Herten‑Westerholt, the municipal utilities will begin replacing a low‑voltage network on the Breiten Straße on July 8. A roughly 200‑metre stretch between the railway crossing and the Ostring junction will see the foot‑ and cycle path closed, parking prohibited and speed limits reduced. Temporary zebra crossings and alternative access routes will be provided. The project is expected to last about six weeks.
