Traffic disruptions reported in Haut-Katanga and Dakar following road accidents

Major traffic disruptions have been reported in Haut-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Dakar, Senegal, following separate road accidents.

In Haut-Katanga, a serious accident occurred on the Lubumbashi-Likasi road near the 45th kilometer on Monday evening. The collision involved a tanker truck, two Fuso trucks, and a public transport minibus. Preliminary reports indicate three fatalities and several injuries. The accident has paralyzed one of the province's primary economic routes, leaving hundreds of vehicles immobilized and causing significant delays for travelers and goods transport.

In Dakar, Senegal, traffic was heavily disrupted at the Pont de la Foire following an overturned truck near the Senegal-Japan School. The incident occurred during rainy weather, which may have contributed to the accident. The blockage has caused significant congestion in the capital, with authorities advising motorists to use alternative routes and exercise caution due to wet road conditions.
