Traffic disruptions reported in Karlsruhe and Traunstein

Significant transit and road disruptions are affecting Karlsruhe and Traunstein. In Karlsruhe, an overhead line fault near Kronenplatz has forced the diversion of several light rail lines, including the S4, S5, S7, S8, S51, RB40, and RB41. Additionally, a signal box failure has impacted service between Karlsruhe Tullastraße/Alter Schlachthof and Freudenstadt Hauptbahnhof, with replacement bus services operating between Rastatt and Freudenstadt.

In Traunstein, Bahnhofplatz will undergo renovation from October 30 to November 7. The area will be closed to vehicle traffic to replace cobblestones with asphalt. While the Bahnhof-Parktunnel (P1) remains accessible, pedestrian walkways and taxi stands will be affected. Local authorities have temporarily suspended one-way regulations on Herzog-Friedrich-Straße to facilitate access for residents and commuters.
