Traffic disruptions reported in Salamanca and La Línea de la Concepción

Multiple cities in Spain are experiencing traffic restrictions due to ongoing construction and roadworks.

In Salamanca, ten streets are affected by traffic cuts or lane reductions on Monday, October 26. These disruptions are caused by public works, road narrowing, and the use of mobile cranes. Specific closures include Paseo de los Madroños and Calle Río Agadones due to works, while others like Plaza España and Avenida Fernando III El Santo will see narrowed lanes. Additionally, mobile crane operations will restrict passage on Calle Núñez de Balboa, Calle Amistad, Calle Perú, and Calle Curtidores during specific morning and afternoon windows.

In La Línea de la Concepción, Calle Cartagena is closed in both directions between Fuente del Deseo and Avenida Punto Ribot. The closure, expected to last until approximately November 5, is necessary to construct an elevated pedestrian crossing aimed at improving accessibility and road safety. Traffic is being diverted through alternative routes, including Avenida María Guerrero and Calle Nueva Línea. The project is part of a road safety cooperation agreement between the Cádiz Provincial Council and the local City Council.
