Traffic enforcement actions in Switzerland and France

In Switzerland, the Federal Tribunal has upheld the decision to confiscate a Lamborghini from a young driver in the Basel-Landschaft canton. The driver was recorded traveling at 140 km/h in a zone limited to 80 km/h. Although the vehicle was leased in the name of the driver's father-in-law, the court ruled that the seizure applies to the vehicle, its keys, and its registration plates due to the severity of the traffic violation.

In France, police in Maine-et-Loire conducted speed enforcement operations on the RD748 in Brissac-Loire-Aubance, resulting in five driver's license retentions. Notable infractions included a driver reaching 160 km/h in a 90 km/h zone and another driving a Ferrari at 138 km/h in the same limit. Authorities also intercepted a driver traveling at 132 km/h who was found to be under the influence of narcotics.
