Bartın car plunges into underpass construction pit, injuring two

In the Çakraz village of the Amasra district in Bartın, a car plunged approximately 5 meters into the foundation pit of an underpass under construction. The accident resulted in two injuries, identified as S. K. and A. K., who were transported to Bartın State Hospital. Their health conditions are reported to be stable.

Following the crash, the driver, identified as T. K., fled the scene, leaving the injured passengers behind. Investigations revealed that T. K. had previously been involved in an accident at the Amasra Tunnel entrance a month ago, which led to the suspension of his driver's license.

Firefighters were called to the site to prevent a potential fire caused by a fuel leak. Local residents and drivers have expressed concerns regarding road safety, alleging that insufficient lighting and inadequate security measures at the construction site have contributed to multiple accidents in the area within a single week.
