Traffic restrictions announced for Catanzaro and Trani

Local authorities in Catanzaro and Trani have announced significant traffic and parking restrictions due to upcoming urban developments and sporting events.

In Catanzaro, Corso Mazzini—specifically the section between Piazza Bernardino Grimaldi and Piazza Cavour—will be closed to transit and parking from the afternoon of Thursday, October 8, until the morning of Saturday, October 10, 2026. This measure, ordered by the Local Police Command, is intended to facilitate the setup of a new urban pedestrian area. Alternative routes will be available via Via Poerio and Via Ciaccio during this period.

In Trani, the city is preparing for the 16th edition of 'Tranincorsa,' a national road race scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026. To ensure participant safety, various closures will be implemented. Piazza Marinai d'Italia will be closed to traffic and parking from the morning of October 10 through the afternoon of October 11 for event setup. Additional restrictions will affect the Lungomare C. Colombo, the port area, and several central squares including Piazza Libertà and Piazza Duomo.
