Traffic restrictions announced in Izmir and Antalya

Traffic arrangements are being implemented in Izmir and Antalya to accommodate upcoming events.

In Izmir, certain sections of Atatürk Avenue (1. Kordon) will be closed to vehicle traffic on Wednesday, October 21, starting at 00:00. This measure is being taken by the Izmir Police Department to facilitate rehearsals for the October 29 Republic Day ceremonies. A parking ban will take effect earlier, on Tuesday, October 20, at 22:00, and vehicles parked in the affected area—specifically between the 1479 Sokak intersection and the Şehit Hava Pilot Üsteğmen Cenk Yeşilpınar Pedestrian Overpass—will be removed.

In Antalya, the Governor's Office has announced new traffic regulations for the D-400 highway between Dikmen Junction and Altınova Junction from November 9 to 13, 2026. This adjustment is part of the preparations for the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference. During this period, the Antalya-Alanya direction of the divided highway will be converted to two-way traffic to manage the movement of international delegations and local traffic. Drivers traveling between Alanya, Manavgat, Serik, and Antalya are advised to plan for potential delays.
