Traffic restrictions planned for sporting events in Parma and Trieste

Multiple sporting events scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, will result in significant traffic and parking restrictions across different Italian cities.

In Parma, the Parma Marathon and associated races—including the 32 km, 24 km, Vigorosa, and Desmila—will cause progressive road closures along the race route. From Saturday, October 17, at 16:00 until Sunday at 16:00, parking bans with forced removal will be in effect in Via Passo Buole, Borgo Montassù, and Strada Melloni. On Sunday morning, additional restrictions will apply to Strada Mazzini, Strada della Repubblica, Borgo del Correggio, and Via Pigorini. Transit bans will affect Viale delle Rimembranze and Via Passo Buole between 07:00 and 17:00.

In Trieste, the 10th edition of the Corsa dei Castelli will run from Miramare Castle to Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia. The municipality has issued ordinance no. 1150-26, establishing parking bans and traffic closures. From midnight until 14:00 on Sunday, parking will be prohibited in Viale Miramare, near the Central Station, Porto Vecchio/Porto Vivo, Corso Cavour, and the Rive. Specific restrictions will also impact Piazza della Libertà and Largo Città di Santos.
