Traffic violations and dangerous driving incidents reported in Taiwan and Hong Kong

In separate traffic incidents in Taiwan and Hong Kong, authorities have taken action against drivers for dangerous and illegal behavior.

In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a 16-year-old male fled from police during a patrol in the Xinxing District. The teenager, who was riding a heavy motorcycle without rearview mirrors, abandoned his female passenger to escape. Investigations revealed he was driving without a license and using another vehicle's license plate. He faces multiple violations, including unlicensed driving and improper plate usage, with potential fines totaling up to 73,200 TWD.

In Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, police arrested a 43-year-old male driver after video footage showed his pink truck running a red light and narrowly missing three female students crossing the street. The driver failed to stop after the incident. He has been charged with dangerous driving and is scheduled to appear in the Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts on September 25.
