Traffic violations and dangerous driving incidents trend online

Recent viral videos have highlighted instances of dangerous driving and traffic violations in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

In Taiwan, a video surfaced showing a red heavy motorcycle rider on the Beiyi Highway crossing double yellow lines into the oncoming lane, allegedly to avoid section speed cameras. Police warned that such actions constitute driving in the wrong direction and dangerous driving, which can lead to heavy fines, penalty points, and the potential suspension or revocation of driving licenses.

In Hong Kong, a video captured a probationary driver in Yuen Long driving into oncoming traffic on Castle Peak Road. The driver attempted to reverse in a panic, repeatedly striking traffic cones near a pedestrian crossing. The incident has sparked online discussion regarding driver training and road safety.
