Trafikverket to deploy special vehicles on E6 motorway

Starting September 1, Trafikverket will deploy two specially designed vehicles to patrol the E6 motorway to improve traffic flow and driver safety. These vehicles are intended to respond quickly to broken-down motorists, helping to prevent congestion and dangerous situations.

The specialized units will provide various services, including refueling, changing tires, removing debris, and moving wildlife. The vehicles also feature climate-controlled space to provide warmth to stranded drivers. Additionally, the units will assist at accident sites by protecting workers and using digital signage to guide traffic. Under a new agreement, towing assistance aims to arrive within 50 minutes of a breakdown to perform short moves, clearing the motorway quickly.
