Tragic incidents reported in Italy involving a child and a homeless man

Two separate tragic events have been reported in Italy. In Rome, an eighteen-month-old child died after choking on a piece of apple during dinner at a home in the La Storta area. Despite emergency services being called and the child being rushed to the Policlinico Agostino Gemelli in red code status, medical staff were unable to revive him. The mayor of Vitorchiano, Ruggero Grassotti, expressed the community's deep sorrow following the incident.

In Lombardy, a man living near Malpensa airport passed away after falling ill. Local volunteers, including groups from Caritas Busto, Il Viandante di Varese, and Sos Stazione, organized to ensure the man, referred to as 'Amico' by those who cared for him, could be returned to his home in Northern Lombardy for burial with his family. He had frequently received meals and support from the Red Cross street unit at the Busto Arsizio station.
