Traiana Anania shares perspective on Dimitris Kokotas' death

Actress and singer Traiana Anania has shared her personal philosophical views regarding the death of singer Dimitris Kokotas. Speaking on the television program ‘Happy Day’ with journalist Dimitris Sidiropoulos, Anania expressed that she does not believe the loss of a person should be viewed exclusively through the lens of sadness.

Anania, who previously worked with Kokotas on the musical show ‘J2US’, suggested that a person’s passing does not necessarily have to be associated with misfortune, noting that the nature of what happens after death is unknown. She further remarked that ‘many times souls choose to leave early.’

Dimitris Kokotas passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 57. His death followed more than two years of hospitalization at Georgios Gennimatas Hospital. His health struggles began on March 28, 2024, after he suffered an acute myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest during a rehearsal for ‘J2US’.
