West Kelowna Councillor Tasha Da Silva Announces Re‑Election Bid

West Kelowna City Councillor Tasha Da Silva has announced she will seek a second term in the municipal election scheduled for October 17, 2026. During her first term she served as chair of the Okanagan Regional Library Board, vice‑president of the Southern Interior Local Government Association and director of the West Kelowna Economic Development Corporation. Da Silva said her campaign will focus on six priorities: strengthening the local economy, investing in infrastructure, supporting public safety, expanding diverse housing options, advocating for West Kelowna at senior levels of government, and promoting environmental sustainability. She joins incumbent councillors Garrett Millsap and Rick de Jong, who have also declared their intention to run again.

Da Silva emphasized her commitment to service, integrity and vision, noting that these principles have guided her decisions throughout her tenure. She plans to meet with residents across the city ahead of the election to discuss her platform and listen to community concerns.
