Trail running events held in Austria and Germany

The Austrian Obstacle Run Championships took place on September 26, 2026, at the Donauinsel in Vienna. The course spanned approximately 9.6 kilometers and featured 21 obstacles testing strength, skill, and endurance. The Happy Fitness 24h Laufteam achieved second place in the mixed team category and the Austrian Championship team standings. Individual members Gabriel Schneebauer, Florian Hulde, Thomas Pattinger, and Isabella Grassmayr also secured top positions, including the Tyrolean Championship titles.

In Germany, the Oberaudorf Trail Festival is scheduled for October 1–4, 2026, expecting around 1,400 participants. The event will feature five different distances ranging from 12.4 to 104 kilometers. A highlight of the 2026 festival is the premiere of the OTF 100 [XXL], a 104-kilometer ultra-marathon course through the mountains surrounding Oberaudorf, offering views of the Wilder Kaiser. The festival program includes athlete presentations and film screenings starting on the Thursday prior to the races.
