Trailer crashes into Cantona toll booth on Amozoc-Perote highway

A Castores company trailer crashed into the Cantona toll booth on the Amozoc-Perote highway in the municipality of Tepeyahualco on the morning of September 14. The accident occurred around 11:00 AM after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure.

The trailer, which was transporting a load of corn, struck the toll booth cabin. While no one was inside the booth at the time of the impact, the driver became trapped inside the wreckage. Emergency responders and paramedics arrived at the scene to rescue the driver, whose current health status remains unknown.

Authorities closed circulation on the highway to facilitate rescue efforts and the removal of the damaged unit. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes while work continues at the site.
