Train collision with detached catenary halts Málaga C-2 commuter line

A Media Distancia train (service 13921) traveling from Málaga María Zambrano to Sevilla Santa Justa struck a detached catenary near the town of Álora. The incident occurred during scheduled infrastructure works, prompting Adif to halt traffic on the C-2 Cercanías line that connects Málaga with the Valle del Guadalhorce.

Renfe suspended service on the line from early morning, affecting trains scheduled for 08:00 and 08:53, and announced an alternative plan while repairs are carried out. The disruption impacts commuter travel between Málaga and municipalities such as Pizarra, Cártama and Álora until the catenary is restored.
