Train disruptions in Germany following vehicle accidents

Multiple railway disruptions have occurred in Germany due to vehicle-related incidents. In Nassenbeuren, a train collided with the rear of a transporter at an unbarricaded level crossing near Mindelheim. While the transporter sustained approximately 20,000 euros in damage, no injuries were reported, and the train suffered only minor damage. The line between Mindelheim and Pfaffenhausen was temporarily closed but reopened by 7:20 AM.

In a separate incident near Geisingen, a truck driver caused significant damage to overhead lines after failing to lower a tipper bed while driving through a level crossing. The incident between Donaueschingen and Tuttlingen has resulted in a prolonged closure, with replacement buses being deployed. Repairs are expected to last until at least Thursday evening, affecting regional lines RE 2 and RE 55.
