Italy reports multiple railway accidents and public safety incidents

Several security and emergency incidents have been reported across various Italian regions.

In terms of railway safety, multiple accidents involving pedestrians and technical failures occurred. A person was struck by a train on the Bologna-Ancona line between Pesaro and Fano, causing major delays of up to four hours. A separate incident in Pesaro involved a 30-year-old man being struck by a train near the station. In Pompeii, a 20-year-old was critically injured after attempting to cross the Napoli–Salerno tracks. Additionally, an Intercity train at Lodi station was evacuated due to a burning component in the locomotive's electrical system, resulting in the medical treatment of two elderly passengers.

Public order incidents include a 26-year-old man being arrested in Giulianova and Teramo after allegedly resisting officers and assaulting a policeman at a hospital. In Sassonia di Fano, a young man sustained serious injuries from a blade attack during a confrontation. Furthermore, at an emergency medical center in Bagheria, an intoxicated individual caused damage to facilities, prompting local authorities to highlight the need for increased security in healthcare settings.
