Train releases 12th studio album ‘Mad Dog in the Fog’

The pop/rock band Train has released its 12th studio album, titled ‘Mad Dog in the Fog’. The album is currently available for streaming, with a physical LP release scheduled for November 13, 2026.

Led by singer Pat Monahan, the project serves as a musical tribute to the band’s hometown of San Francisco. The title of the album is inspired by a local bar on Haight Street that served as one of the band's first performance venues. Lyrically, the album incorporates references to the band’s own history, such as their 1998 single ‘Meet Virginia’, as well as nods to other San Francisco-themed music.

Featured singles include ‘The Weekend’, ‘Pennsylvania Turnpike’, and the title track. To celebrate the release, the band performed a special block party concert in San Francisco. Additionally, the group is continuing its ‘Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in The Atmosphere’ tour to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their 2001 hit album.
