Train releases twelfth studio album ‘Mad Dog in the Fog’
The American pop rock band Train has released its twelfth studio album, titled ‘Mad Dog in the Fog’. Released via Columbia Records, the 12-song collection marks the group's first full-length project since 2022’s ‘AM Gold’.
The album’s title is a tribute to a historic neighborhood bar in San Francisco’s Lower Haight district where the band performed some of their earliest shows. Frontman Pat Monahan noted that the venue’s owner, Cyril Hackett, was an early supporter of the band.
Lyrically, the album reflects Monahan’s personal journey from Erie, Pennsylvania, to Los Angeles and eventually San Francisco. This trajectory is reflected in tracks such as ‘Pennsylvania Turnpike’ and ‘City of Angels’. Other notable songs include ‘To Gloria’, ‘The Weekend’, and ‘Tired of Looking Down’.
