Train Sim World 7 releases first Asian route featuring Japan's Tadami Line

Dovetail Games has released the first Asian route for the Train Sim World 7 franchise, featuring the Tadami Line in Japan. Developed by Union Workshop, the add-on covers 88km of rural single-track railway between Aizu-Wakamatsu and Tadami in the Fukushima prefecture.

The content is set prior to the 2011 flooding that severed the line, allowing players to experience the complete route using the KiHa 40 diesel railcar. The expansion includes 28 stations, authentic timetables, and five different scenarios. Players can choose from three vehicle color schemes: JNR Orange, Niigata White and Blue, or Tohoku White and Green.

Technical features include new signaling and ATS safety systems, as well as a live weather system that reflects real-time conditions. To mark the release, Dovetail Games collaborated with Japanese artist Kaoru Akagawa on bespoke artwork inspired by the route.
