Train to Busan 4K revival screening and apparel launch announced

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the South Korean zombie film ‘Train to Busan’ (Shin-kansei Final Express), a limited one-week 4K revival screening will be held across 60 theaters in Japan starting August 21, 2026.

In conjunction with the screening, the apparel brand Filmarks Culture Wear will release themed T-shirts. The shirts, featuring a single-color silkscreen print of a scene from the film, will be available via the Filmarks Store and select participating theaters, including Shinjuku Piccadilly, Theatre Umeda, and KBC Cinema.

The revival comes during a period of renewed global interest in director Yeon Sang-ho’s work, following his official invitation to the 79th Cannes Film Festival and the upcoming Japanese release of his new film, ‘Kao’, in late August 2026.
