Trainer Wayne Brown prepares Power Beau for Morphettville race

Trainer Wayne Brown is preparing his horse, Power Beau, for the Sportsbet Green Tick Handicap (1200m) at Morphettville this Saturday. Power Beau, which previously secured Brown’s only Stakes race victory in the Listed City Of Marion Stakes, faces challenges including a high weight of 61.5 kilos and a difficult barrier draw.

Brown noted that while the horse is consistent, its current rating makes it difficult to find suitable races locally. Due to these difficulties and the horse's preference for not traveling long distances, Brown is considering transferring Power Beau to a stable in either Brisbane or Melbourne to sustain its racing career, though he hopes to bring the horse back for summer races next year.
