Training programs held in Egypt and Syria for religious and humanitarian sectors

In Egypt, the Dar al-Ifta al-Misriyyah training center is conducting a course on contemporary fatwa methodology for students from Malaysia. The program focuses on the ethical charter of issuing fatwas, the rules of ijtihad, and the integration of descriptive sciences to understand modern realities. Professor Mohamed Mohanna emphasized that issuing religious rulings requires mastery of texts, understanding social contexts, and personal integrity to ensure rulings are both religiously sound and socially responsible.

In Syria, a two-day training session was organized in Hasakah to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse. Conducted by the Sub-Network for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Bloom Talium, the workshop trained approximately 40 humanitarian and relief workers. The training aims to develop specialized trainers capable of implementing prevention mechanisms, safe reporting procedures, and professional handling of complaints within charitable and religious organizations.
