Training programs launched in Spain for educators and social services
New training initiatives have been introduced in Spain to enhance emergency response and social care standards.
In the Valencian Community, a specialized course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid is being offered to teaching staff. Conducted by professionals from the Valencian Community Health Emergency Service (SESCV), the program utilizes active learning and real-case simulations with adult and infant mannequins to prepare educators for medical emergencies in schools.
Additionally, the QualityRights program, organized by the Balearic Government, is being implemented to improve support for people with functional diversity. Following World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, this training aims to shift social and health services from institutionalized models toward an ethics-based approach centered on human rights, empowerment, and autonomy for individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges.
