Training providers launch new programs for overseas expatriates
Training providers in Japan are launching new educational programs focused on preparing personnel for overseas assignments, specifically targeting manufacturing and human resource management.
Insight Academy Co., Ltd. will host a free web seminar on October 16, 2026, titled ‘How to Train Expatriates to Lead Overseas Manufacturing Bases.’ Led by Toshio Ito, a former president of Brother Industries’ Philippine subsidiary, the session will address the complexities of managing overseas sites, including cost optimization, supply chain management, and technical leadership. The seminar aims to move beyond on-the-job training by providing systematic development frameworks for leaders.
Additionally, MBK Wellness Co., Ltd. through its Cicom Brains division, is introducing a new half-day online course starting October 20, 2026. This ‘Human Resource Management Edition’ focuses on the practicalities of managing local staff, such as recruitment, evaluation, and compensation, which often differ significantly from Japanese practices. This complements their existing full-day course on cross-cultural communication and adaptation.
