Train‑Truck Collision in Hanoi Leaves Four Motorcycles Buried

On the night of 7 June, a freight truck carrying sand ignored a railway crossing signal on the Bắc‑Nam line in Thường Tín, Hanoi, and collided with train SE19. The impact caused the truck to overturn, scattering sand that buried four motorcycles parked on the nearby sidewalk. No injuries were reported, but the train's locomotive and a signal post were damaged, and the truck suffered rear‑right‑side damage.

Authorities from the Hanoi Traffic Police, local police, and the regional Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident. Preliminary checks found both the train driver and the truck driver sober and not under the influence of drugs. The investigation focuses on the truck driver's failure to obey the rail‑crossing signal.
