TRAK Transportaciones reports zero vehicle thefts in one year

TRAK Transportaciones, a company specializing in transporting oversized cargo of up to 250 tons between Mexico, the United States, and Canada, reported zero vehicle thefts over the past year. This achievement follows four years of recurring thefts. To combat this trend, the company implemented Samsara’s Connected Operations Platform, utilizing artificial intelligence, AI-powered dash and multi-cameras, engine immobilizers, and panic buttons.

In addition to eliminating thefts, the company saw a 94% reduction in speeding incidents through real-time visibility and data-driven driver training. The implementation of video evidence also allowed the company to resolve disputes with clients and authorities more efficiently, resulting in savings of over 3.5 million pesos over the last 16 months. This shift marks a transition from a reactive to a proactive security model.

The company's success is notable given that the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS) reported 8,779 heavy vehicle thefts in the country between February 2025 and January 2026.
