Tramlines Festival in Sheffield proceeds despite performer injury scare

UK indie musician Jon McClure, front‑man of Reverend and The Makers, suffered a scooter accident days before the 2026 Tramlines Festival. He feared a cracked rib but confirmed he would still perform on the main stage at Hillsborough Park, where the three‑day event runs from July 24 to July 26.

The festival, dubbed the "home of music" by McClure, featured headline acts such as Fatboy Slim, Wolf Alice and the Courteeners. Hundreds of attendees arrived on opening day, drawing attention for their festival fashions, which were captured in a photo series by Lee McLean. Organisers highlighted set‑times, travel advice and prohibited items, while promoting a live blog and a new festival‑focused Facebook group.

Despite the performer’s injury scare, Tramlines continued as scheduled, showcasing a mix of music, fashion and community spirit in Sheffield.
