Tramonti vineyards prepare for early grape harvest

The grape harvest is beginning in Monesteroli and the Tramonti coast, as sugar levels in the grapes have reached sufficient levels for production.

The Per Tramonti association, through its T.R.A. MONTI (Terre Restituite all’Agricoltura) project, has been working to prevent the abandonment of local vineyards. Under this initiative, landowners unable to manage their property have provided vineyards to the association via free loan for replanting and cultivation.

Since 2016, these vines have produced a white wine known as Cimento. Following a collaboration with Prima Terra until 2021, the association has worked with Azienda Agricola Possa since 2022. The project has successfully brought more terraces back into cultivation, prompting other private entities and companies to engage in similar land recovery efforts in the region.
