Sun Group accelerates construction of 16 trillion VND Tran Hung Dao Bridge
Construction of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge, a 16 trillion VND project connecting Hanoi's Old Quarter to Long Bien, is accelerating. Managed by Sun Group, the project has deployed 17 construction fronts across the route. After eight months, 100% of the bored piles and all seven pier bases have been completed. Five main river piers have reached 85-88% progress. The next phase involves installing the steel arches, which feature an infinity symbol design, expected to begin in late August or early September. The project has reached nearly 40% of its planned output, exceeding the original schedule.
In Ha Tinh, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved an investment plan for the Linh Cam Canal system. The project, estimated at 1.76 trillion VND, aims to utilize water from the Ngan Truoi reservoir to irrigate approximately 17,800 hectares of farmland. The development will include 12 first-class canals totaling 117km and 8 second-class canals totaling 15km. Construction is expected to begin in 2027 and last up to four years, supporting agriculture, industry, and climate change resilience.
