Tran Huu Trung chooses emergency medicine specialty

At the Match Day 2026 event held by Hanoi Medical University, new resident doctor Tran Huu Trung selected the specialty of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.

Trung is the son of Dr. Tran Huu Thong, the Deputy Director of the A9 Emergency Center at Bach Mai Hospital. Despite having high scores in the residency exam that would have allowed him to choose less demanding specialties, Trung chose to follow his father's career path into emergency medicine.

Dr. Thong noted that the decision was not a forced family direction but rather a natural passion developed by observing his father's dedication to the profession and the life-saving work performed at the hospital.
