Two Romanian mountain roads, Transalpina and Transfăgărășan, have been ranked among the most spectacular roads in Europe. According to research conducted by Avis and presented by Euronews Travel, Transalpina secured fifth place, while Transfăgărășan followed in sixth.

The ranking was determined by analyzing road characteristics such as length, altitude, and the number of curves, alongside online popularity metrics like Instagram hashtags and Google search volumes. Transalpina (DN67C) earned a score of 73 out of 100. Spanning 148 kilometers and reaching an altitude of 2,145 meters, it features 682 curves.
