TransAnatolia 2026 rally raid to run from Istanbul to Ankara

The 16th edition of the TransAnatolia rally raid is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 5, 2026. This international motorsport event will feature competitors in motorcycle, Quad, SSV, car, and truck categories.

The race will begin with a ceremonial start at Viaport Marina in Tuzla, Istanbul, and conclude in Ankara. The route will traverse diverse terrains, including the green mountains of the Black Sea and the unique geography of Cappadocia, passing through regions such as Bolu, Zonguldak, Ilgaz, Amasya, Tokat, and Aksaray. Participants will face various surfaces, including asphalt, dirt, stone, and mud.

General Tire has been announced as the official tire sponsor for the 2026 event, providing models such as the Grabber AT3, Grabber X3, and Grabber AT3 Plus to support racers across different terrains. The event is organized by the Anadolu Spor Organizasyonları Kulübü with support from various Turkish ministries and the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED). Additionally, a ‘Festival of Motoring’ will be held in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt.
