Transcorp Hotels reports 4.8% profit rise to N15.54bn

Transcorp Hotels Plc has reported a 4.8% increase in profit after tax, reaching N15.54 billion for the nine-month period ending September 30, 2026. This growth occurred despite a marginal revenue decline of approximately 2.6% to N69.46 billion, compared to N71.30 billion in the same period in 2025.

The company attributed the improved earnings to disciplined cost management, lower tax expenses, and a significant rise in finance income, which grew to N4.46 billion from N520.68 million the previous year. These factors helped reduce net finance costs to N1.45 billion. Additionally, the company’s total assets expanded by 29.3% to N206.82 billion.

Managing Director and CEO Uzoamaka Oshogwe stated that the performance demonstrated the company’s ability to convert revenue into stronger profits and protect margins, expanding the net profit margin to 22.3%.
