Liverpool FC transfer activity: Gusto deal fails as Figueroa joins Port Vale

Liverpool FC concluded the summer transfer window with several squad movements and failed attempts to secure new defensive talent. The club made a final push to sign Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto on loan, but the move failed because Chelsea insisted on a permanent sale while Liverpool lacked the finances for a full transfer.

In terms of departures, Liverpool has accepted a loan offer for forward Keyrol Figueroa, who will join League Two side Port Vale for the remainder of the season. Additionally, Harvey Elliott is set to join Valencia on loan.

On the incoming side, Liverpool has secured Bradley Barcola from PSG and reached an agreement for Colombian playmaker Samuel Martinez to join next year. The club also utilized a unique arrangement for striker Djylian N'Guessan, who will be loaned to Brest to gain top-flight experience before joining Liverpool permanently next season.
