Transmediale and LOEWE FOUNDATION announce new calls for curators and craft artists

The transmediale e. V. has issued an open call for the curator of its 2028 edition in Berlin. The selected individual or group will be responsible for developing the festival's curatorial concept and program, focusing on the intersections of art, technology, science, society, and politics. The submission deadline is September 30, 2026.

Separately, the LOEWE FOUNDATION has opened applications for its 2027 Craft Prize. Now in its tenth edition, the prize aims to celebrate excellence in modern craft. The winner will receive €50,000, while two honorable mentions will receive €5,000 each. Applications are being accepted until October 15, 2027, with an exhibition of shortlisted artists planned for Europe in the spring of 2027.
