Transmission Company of Nigeria announces Sagamu power maintenance

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has scheduled annual preventive maintenance at the Sagamu Transmission Substation, leading to power disruptions in Ogun State. The maintenance on two 30MVA, 132/33kV power transformers began on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and is expected to continue through Friday.

The work is scheduled to occur for seven hours each day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. These interruptions affect the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company’s (IBEDC) ability to distribute power to customers in Sagamu and surrounding areas. Specific locations expected to experience disruptions include CEPLASS, NNPC/Ogijo, Metafrique, and Babcock.
