TransnetBW invests 60 million euros in central warehouse near Rothenburg

TransnetBW, the Stuttgart-based transmission system operator, is investing approximately 60 million euros to construct a central warehouse near Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The facility will be built on a twelve-hectare site formerly occupied by the countertop manufacturer Lechner.

The warehouse is intended to supply construction sites for substations and power lines, supporting the company's mission to provide electricity to more than eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. The project is expected to create eight new jobs. TransnetBW has already issued two contracts totaling 6.8 million euros for transport services related to the site. While the construction is underway, a specific date for the facility to become operational has not yet been released.
