Transnistria students involved in Russian patriotic education programs

Dozens of students from the Transnistria region participated in “patriotic education” programs organized by the Russian Federation during the summer. According to a report by the Promo-LEX Association, these activities were designed to promote Russian historical narratives and cultivate an identity link between the children and Russia.

In June, a group of students attended activities at the Artek International Children's Center in occupied Crimea, a facility currently under international sanctions for its involvement in the ideological indoctrination and forced transfer of Ukrainian children. Another group participated in the “Circle of Friends” program at the Orlionok center in Russia between June 23 and July 13. Orlionok is also under international sanctions and provides infrastructure for military-patriotic training, including facilities for “young soldiers” and “young border guards,” as well as a museum dedicated to the Russian war against Ukraine.
