Transnistrian youth sent to Moscow for indoctrination
Nine children and young people from the Transnistrian region, members of a Cossack paramilitary organization, were sent to Moscow between September 7 and 13. The trip was organized by Rossotrudnichestvo, an agency under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Promo-LEX Association reports that these youths were introduced to structures directly involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine. The group involved, the ‘Black Sea Cossack Host’, has roots in formations that fought alongside Russian forces during the 1992 conflict and currently receives support from the Tiraspol regime.
Promo-LEX warns that this is part of a systematic process of militarization and indoctrination of youth on the left bank of the Dniester. The association notes that such patriotic education programs expose children to dangerous narratives directed against the interests of the Republic of Moldova.
